The mixed-use development of Al Naboodah is designed to accommodate the Dubai Metro, which divides the plot into two parts - structurally, acoustically and architecturally. The residential apartments, standardised within a grid, are visually connected at podium level with raised planters for tall, dense trees, which help reduce noise from the metro and create a lively environment. Apartment balconies also act as sound buffers and use of 39 STC rated glazing helps maintain a standard acoustic rating. Structural design employs vibration pads in foundations to accommodate physical vibrations from the metro.
The natural slope of the site has facilitated the creation of interesting levels for the retail complex and double-height arcade at the ground level. Residents also enjoy extended private gardens at the landscaped podium level, and wellness and spa areas at the terrace level.
