Pharmaceutical Laboratory Centre, Pune

This 5 acres plot is a part of the existing facility on the western outskirts of Pune and is abutting the access road. The program involved the expansion of the existing facility of multiple research oriented labs with breakout spaces.

The design complements the existing facility with interlocking solid and void spaces to generate various labs and breakout spaces like internal and external landscape courts, stepped terraces, etc. The linear corridor which is the main spine throughout the development adds to the functional simplicity.  The orientation of the various lab blocks and the play of solids and voids, light and shadow provide interesting breathing spaces.
