Mixed Use Development, Thiruvananthapuram

This mixed use development project is located in Pappanamcode, Trivandrum.  It has been designed by Archgroup, who are one of the established International Architects in India.

The site is bounded by NH-47 highway on the south side and Karamana River on the north. The site is fairly sloping with a difference of about 18 metres between its two ends, sloping down to the river.  There are two components for development viz., Shopping mall and Residential complex.  The residential towers overlook the Karamanariver and lush green coconut palms, while the Commercial Mall is accessed directly from NH-47 and can be easily viewed from the highway.

The design intent was to provide Pappanamcode with a modern building, at the same time, maintaining its rich heritage. The structure is designed to stand out as a landmark building on the otherwise mundane streetscape, thus providing a much needed identity to Pappanamcode.  This was made possible by the expertise of Archgroup a leading practice amongst International Architects in India, who have successfully executed similar projects in different parts of the world.Residential blocks are positioned so as to provide the most exclusive views of Karamanariver and coconut palm tree tops.  The design by Archgroup took advantage of the existing slopes to create beautifully landscaped access points for both commercial and residential blocks creating a benchmark for other International Architects of India
