Law School, Pune

This exclusive residential Law & Economics college project which caters to1500 students is situated on 7.8 acres of irregular site on the western outskirts of Pune. The site, surrounded by foot hills of Sahyadri range, slopes from south to north, while the access to the site is from the west. The physical conditions of the site dictated the design of the facility.  A strong main axis that rises from the lower to the higher level forms the spine of the design. The academic facilities are located on the higher level, while the residential facility is proposed on lower level.

The academic building rises up with a backdrop of foot hills to form the focal point of the development. The entrance court in the academic block divides it into two components of the college, Law & Economics. The academic facility includes a library, seminar and audio-visual halls area & respective faculty offices, labs, multipurpose halls, 32 lecture halls distributed to both the wings of the college. The 1500 beds hostel for Boys & girls are located around a Students' plaza & Canteen. The campus built form is an outcome of the planning which was evolved around the main axis.
