TAJ EXOTICA RESORT, SPA & GRANDEUR RESIDENCES, DUBAI - one of the landmark projects designed by Archgroup Consultants one of the leading Architectural firm in Hospitality Design . They have also provided the Project Management Services for this project.
The sprawling development over a million square feet plot is inspired by Rajasthani Palace Architecture. the juxtaposition of traditional design elements and modern design and building techniques revive the spirit of historical era in a contemporary setting. The team from Archgroup carried out an in depth study of various elements used for the treatment of the facade to achieve the desired results
The main components of the 5-star deluxe Hotel Architecture Design are:
- The Hotel Building with 262 keys, 5 restaurants, business center, health club
- The Banquet Hall attached to the hotel with a helipad on the terrace
- The Apartment Building with 217 apartments, health club, retail facilities
- 5 Villas attached to the Hotel Block + 5 Villas attached to the Apartment Block
- Grand Jiva Spa, one of the signature facilities of the Taj Exotica
The team of talented architects from the Archgroup laid a lot of emphasis on planning and detailing of both hotel and the apartments, which is based on the traditional courtyard concept albeit with a modern twist. The courtyards, instead of being open are enclosed with intricately detailed domes to suit the harsh desert climate of Dubai.
The Grand Jiva Spa will be one of its kind in the region not only because of the facilities but also due to its unique design element which complement the overall Hotel Architecture Design. The planning is inspired by the Mughal Zenana and has inward-facing rooms overlooking private courtyards and gardens. Keeping true to the theme is helpful in providing the required privacy for the Spa outdoor treatment facilities.
The apartment building is planned on similar lines - as a symmetrical building around two octagonal courts. With a unique stepping form, most of the apartments have balconies and terraces overlooking the sea and the Palm Island lagoon. With inputs from the full fledged in-house Project Management Services team, the Apartment Building has already been successfully completed.
