Rove Downtown, Dubai

This is the first built project amongst 10 Rove Hotels desiged by Archgroup one of the leading Architectural firm in Hospitality Design, which became the template for subsequent ones designed for Rove Hospitality, including those in Port Saeed and Oudh Metha, Dubai Marina, Jafaliya and others. The Z-shaped plan, with variations in the size of the footprint, maximises Gross Floor Area.

An experiential entrance through a double-height podium space leads to the reception and concierge area. Ground floor is reserved primarily for public areas - cafe, bar, conference room, restaurant, all-day dining, kid’s area, small banqueting area, health club and swimming pool. Guest rooms envelope the circulation core with a single-loaded corridor.

The elevation uses a combination of glass, aluminium and stone paint - top floors are highlighted with a sequence of mashrabiyas, screens. Thus this project sets the template for Rove, yet breaks the mould of the typical budget hotel with its distinguishing qualities of planning and aesthetics.
